I am planning a 3300 mile, 9 day loop from Bay Area to Vegas, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Seattle, and back Although it may be inevitable, I would like to avoid fastfood entirely on this trip Do any of you seasoned roadtrip veterans have any special recommendations for affordable, delicious mom pop places along the way? 07-18-2008, 03:47 PM

We would travel from Detroit to Florida, or South Dakota, or Denver or Yellowstone They were all great and memorable trips Then one year my Father overdid it and we drove all the way to northern California and down to Disneyland and even to Mexico for a day Drive, drive, drive It was too much for our family of seven!

Don't get me wrong, its a very nice amount of time and you should be able to enjoy yourself quite nicely, but you could spend 2 weeks each in the badlands black hills and Yellowstone and still be just scratching the surface of those magnificent and huge areas That doesn't even factor in the thousand miles that falls into the rest of the trip
